SPONSORSHIP:

Recommend and/or sign up race sponsors from local business community, foster
and maintain relationship with them.

Maintain sponsor database.

Help plan sponsor fees, promotional materials, and communications

Ensure sponsor benefits are provided with respect to races (shirts, website,
race packets).

Ensure sponsor recognition/thank you notices are sent out in a timely
manner.

Plan, prepare, and promote the annual Wine & Cheese Thank You
(Nov. 11 this year)
PUBLICITY:
(Chair, Alan Gross)

Promote AARC activities, races, meetings, and events in various media
outlets, including online.

Arrange for photos of presentations and special events, and send with
article to local press.

Post race information to online calendars, web sites, running clubs, etc.

Design, order, help distribute lawn signs for races
CONTRIBUTIONS, BENEFICIARIES, AND SCHOLARSHIPS:

Research and guide in the selection process of race beneficiaries.

Help set policy with respect to donations and promotions.

Initiate communication with school districts, liaison with treasurer,
provide updates to committee and board, coordinate photo opportunities and
recipient information with Publicity Committee.

Attend photo opportunities and award ceremonies as needed.
MEMBERSHIP: (Chair,

Keep membership database current, send welcome message to new members,
follow up with lapsed members, send pre-renewal reminders.

Provide membership list to Board as requested.

Assist in recruitment and maintenance of club members.

Ensure that web information and applications are up to date and accurate.

Provide quarterly column for newsletter.?

SOCIAL:

Plan and help promote events such as the holiday party, picnic, Thursty
Thursday events, and other special events and runs.

Work with club team captains to arrange for carpooling, post-race gatherings
for local events attended by membership (including, but not limited to BSR
and PDR).

Provide refreshments at General Meetings.
RUNNING AND RACING COMMITTEE:

Development and coordinate running programs to meet members needs, including
ongoing fun runs, track workouts and special running/racing events
-
Organize teams for Broad Street Run, PDR and other races involving AARC
members/teams; assist with members needs (transportation, post-race
activities, etc.).

Coordinate training programs using Fun Runs and Track Workouts.

FUN RUN MANAGERS:
-
Greet new runners, ensure any new runners have signed liability waiver.
-
Provide instructions/directions and a runner-guide for new runners.
-
Work with membership/social committee/board on developing new fun run
locations and events.
-
Schedule and Announce Fun Run locations and times.
-
Take pictures at Fun Runs, get them posted on web site
WEB SITE and COMMUNICATIONS:

Write and send announcements to board and membership as directed.

Assist with AARC website upgrades and maintenance.

On a minimum of an annual basis, make digital back-ups of all vital AARC
paperwork (Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Membership List, Meeting
Minutes, financial/tax documents).

Develop and maintain an online forum for membership use.
-
Maintain database/list online for AARC members to submit races they will run
and to find run partners for training or races.

NEWSLETTER
(Editor needed)

Solicit articles and photos, arrange content, proofread, edit and
publish newsletter on a quarterly basis; follow up on production to
ensure quarterly deadlines are met.

Report on club news, special events, Board decisions, etc.

Publish race results of members, and human interest articles
-
Distribute to AARC membership.
FROSTBITE AND PHILS RACE COMMITTEES (2 Committees): (Frostbite Race
Director: Ira Meyers, Phils Race Director: Chris Plominski)

With the Race Directors, organize, promote and produce the Frostbite 5 Miler
and Phils 5K races

Develop budget for Board approval
-
Handle logistical details, including town permits, facilities, course,
registration, signs, publicity, bibs, shirts, volunteers, refreshments,
finish line, finances, race bags

Coordinate with Sponsorship, Publicity,
Contributions, Beneficiaries & Scholarships committees
EXTERNAL RACE SUPPORT:
(Chair, Nathan Relles)

Communicate with other race directors, direct inquiries for assistance to
Race Liaison, Race Series Coordinators.

Support race series coordinators (both inside and outside of AARC), be aware
of upcoming races, ensure AARC presence at the races (including runners in
AARC shirts, membership recruiter, table display).

Provide AARC supportive materials and logistical support (cones, mile
markers, Marshal vests, race day registration, etc.) to AARC-sponsored races
